POSITION SUMMARY Green Shutter is looking to add a part time data entry and lab assistant (DELA) to our team.
The DELA will work cross functionally in our tea lab coordinating sample activity and data entry and tracking.
This role will work in coordination with our QA/QC specialist to drive diligent movement of product samples and organization of the laboratory space.
The DELA must be organized and detail oriented to be effective in ensuring accurate sample and shipping information as well as able to navigate Excel spreadsheets.
This position is part-time and based on 20 hours per week at our corporate office in Saint Rose, LA.
Green Shutter Teas operates Monday - Friday from 8am - 5pm and is flexible on accommodating DELA's hours within the work week.
The DELA responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Receive product sample dispatch requests and prepare samples for dispatch.
Create shipping (Fedex/UPS AWB details) and sampling labels.
Drop off parcels at FedEx/UPS and create sample shipment notice.
Maintain inventory of received samples in designated excel spreadsheet, notifying Commercial Team when stock runs low.
Physically organize sample inventory based off customer and product type.
Record list of shipped samples in designated excel spreadsheet and update when sample has arrived at destination and record customer feedback.
Ensure sufficient volume of samples are gathered from origin supplier or warehouse to ensure adequate sample reserves in laboratory.
Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies and prepare order request for needed supplies.
Act as a back up to QC Specialist for conducting dust, density, moisture analysis on Tea and Botanical samples.
Record all lab or sensory analysis attributes in Tea Analytics spreadsheet Data Entry from Certificates of Analysis into trackable software, Osiris Assist in cleaning up laboratory after sensory and analytical testing Engage in miscellaneous data entry projects as seen fit across multiple departments.
